This is a strikingly beautiful mug at first glance but when I pick it up it doesn't feel great in my hands. The lip on either side of the mug handle is sharp and cuts into my fingers when there is liquid/weight in the cup. The outer lines of the mug body and where my mouth makes contact with the mug are also not as smooth as I had expected either; which could have been smoothed at greenware/bisque fire stage. The foot ring was jagged and unsanded which scratches surfaces and hands. I had to carefully sand everything myself to make it smooth. The glaze on the handle had the smallest chip but I sanded that out too. My one criticism to the potter is that this could be a lot better if every edge was softened and smoothed for a more pleasant feel and finish. Great look, color combo and concept, it just needs some extra finesse. :)
